1st all these banks given big loans to these builders fraudently and once these loans become NPA, the nexus trapped #Homebuyers using ponzi approvals & subvention schemes to lure middle class. Whoever made payment themselves have also checked if project approved by banks or not. If banks have done due diligence at 1st place, they would have not given any approvals where there are so many claims on piece of land but they were aware that middle class trust such approvals and builder sold projects to people using these farzi approvals.
For people on loans, they disbursed upfront against #RBI guidelines and trapped #homebuyers. While disbursing loans they ignored whether construction is as per disbursement or not. By doing upfront disbursement, they recovered their loan and trapped poor people.
The biggest fraud is bank in this scam and ignorance of RBI who failed to take any action on these frauds. Builder never had any money for construction. They enjoyed bank loan as well homebuyers money lavishly.
Now the builder lobby not allow any further construction for stuck project as this new supply will hinder their high price projects looting new set of #homebuyers
