Blood under his fingernails. The weight of a dead man sagging into his arms.

He wrapped God in linen, pressed the fabric into wounds that were still wet.

Nicodemus brought seventy-five pounds of burial spice. A king's funeral for a man the world just murdered.

They carried Him into a hole in the rock and rolled the stone shut.

And everything you've ever done went in with Him.
Every night you can't sleep because of what you did. Every morning, you can't look in the mirror. The thing you did to her. The thing you did to them. The
lie you've been carrying so long it feels like bone.

The version of you that drinks alone and pretends tomorrow will be different.

That man was buried with Christ.

Stone sealed. Done.
Not managed. Not in therapy. Not on a payment plan with God where you slowly earn your way back. Buried. In a tomb. Under rock. Gone.
Three days of silence. Three days of a cold body in the dark.

Then the stone moved.
And when He walked out, the grave clothes were folded on the slab. He didn't stumble out tangled in death. He left it sitting there like a man who's done
with the clothes he used to wear.
Lazarus needed someone to unwrap him. Death still clung to him even after he was breathing.
Jesus folded His own burial linen and walked out clean.

That's the difference between religion and resurrection. Religion unwraps you slowly. Asks you to manage your sin. Attend the class. Read the book. Try harder next week.
Resurrection says the man who walked into that tomb is dead. The man who walked out doesn't know him.
You're not fixing the old you. The old you is in a sealed tomb in Jerusalem, and he's not coming back.
The man reading this, the one who thinks he's too far gone, you're not too far. You're already buried. The funeral happened two thousand years
ago.
Now get up. The stone's already moved. The linen's already folded.

Walk out.

I have been informed by NBC that I won’t be back with FNIA this fall and it has given me time to reflect and also to look ahead. 

It’s disappointing  news but I want to thank my NBC family for making the last 17 years so special.  I’ll have lasting memories of my time there, especially with Rodney Harrison who has become a tremendous friend.

God has always directed me in these moments and while I’m not sure what the next step will be for me—whether it will be in football, in broadcasting, or getting more involved in church and community outreach —I know God has plans for my life and I can’t wait see them unfold. And I am reminded of one of my favorite verses in the Bible-Romans 8:28. “God works all things for His good for those who love the Lord.”

After his son’s health scare, he committed fully:
“Moving forward, I’m going to give my platform to God.”

Pratt’s mission now:
Affirm believers (“It’s cool he’s willing to say it — I’ll stand up at work too”)
And shine light for those who’ve never heard it, or turned away from it.

No preaching. No perfection.
Just a man who went from foggy faith to cemented commitment — and uses his voice to point others toward it.

This is probably the best answer I've ever heard to the question, "Why did God create evil?"

A professor at the university asked his students the following question:

“Everything that exists was created by God?”
One student bravely answered:
“Yes, it was created by God.”

The professor asked :
“If God created everything, then God created evil, since it exists. And according to the principle that our deeds define ourselves, then God is evil.”

The student became silent after hearing such an answer. The professor was very pleased with himself. He boasted to students for proving once again that faith in God is a myth.

Another student raised his hand and said:
“Can I ask you a question, professor?”
"Of course," replied the professor.

“Professor, is cold a thing?”
“What kind of question is this? Of course it exists. Have you ever been cold?”
Students laughed at the young man's question.

The young man answered:
“Actually, sir, cold doesn't exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is actually the absence of heat. A person or object can be studied on whether it has or transmits energy.
Absolute zero (-460 degrees Fahrenheit) is a complete absence of heat. All matter becomes inert and unable to react at this temperature. Cold does not exist. We created this word to describe what we feel in the absence of heat.”

The student continued:
“Professor, does darkness exist?”
“Of course it exists.” said the professor.
“You're wrong again, sir. Darkness also does not exist. Darkness is actually the absence of light. We can study the light but not the darkness. We can use Newton's prism to spread white light across multiple colors and explore the different wavelengths of each color. You can't measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into the world of darkness and illuminate it. How can you tell how dark a certain space is? You measure how much light is presented. Isn't it so? Darkness is a term man uses to describe what happens in the absence of light.”

In the end, the young man asked the professor:
“Sir, does evil exist?”
This time it was uncertain, the professor answered:
“Of course, as I said before. We see him every day. Cruelty, numerous crimes and violence throughout the world. These examples are nothing but a manifestation of evil.”

To this, the student answered:
“Evil does not exist, sir, or at least it does not exist for itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is like darkness and cold—a man-made word to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is not faith or love, which exist as light and warmth. Evil is the result of the absence of Divine love in the human heart. It’s the kind of cold that comes when there is no heat, or the kind of darkness that comes when there’s no light.”

Can we honestly stop posting things like “Skip if you hate God” or “Like and God will bless you”?

That’s not how faith works.

God is not insecure. He’s not sitting in heaven counting likes to decide who is loyal. And blessings don’t come because someone double-tapped a post.

When we say things like:

“Type Amen or you’re ashamed of Jesus.”
“Share this if you love God.”
“Scroll past if you don’t care about Him.”
“Like in 10 seconds and claim your miracle.”

…it starts to feel more like pressure than faith.

Loving God is a personal, heart decision. It’s not something you prove by reacting to a post. You can’t guilt someone into loving Christ. You can’t scare someone into spiritual maturity.

When we manipulate for engagement, we turn something sacred into a numbers game.

And that’s dangerous.

Because someone can like every post, comment “Amen” under everything, and still not know Christ. Meanwhile, someone can scroll quietly and still be sincerely seeking God.

If we’re going to post about God, let it be honest. Let it be sincere. Let it point people to Him not to our analytics.
