@2024dion I’ve been trying to wrap my head around where this comes from. Is it just because sometimes they have to walk >1 block to their destination? Is it paid parking that turns them off?
@ablata_at_alba @JJ_Jingleheimer @bbq_kc Ya I’m the opposite, moved from KC to Atlanta and eventually started learning everything I was missing out on. Now I can’t go anywhere without seeing how much better things could be
@ablata_at_alba @JJ_Jingleheimer @bbq_kc It’s unbelievable. May those post-war city planners rot in hell.
There’s talks of reworking the north side of the loop and maybe the south side too to remove the highways but that’s a long way off
@ablata_at_alba @JJ_Jingleheimer @bbq_kc It’s a huge success! Really good numbers for the current length and the metro population. So much room for new development along the line too.
@AirfoeceVetKC@sluggers_bc And driving in and out of the current stadiums is traffic free? At least if you’re downtown you have options on where to park.
Being afraid of cities is a baseless fear. If you’re going for a game you’ll be surrounded by crowds of people and increased police presence.
@wahoowave@pblest 99% of a cop’s job is sitting in their cruisers browsing Facebook. Being a park ranger isn’t “hard” just because there’s a chance they run into a situation that they’re trained to handle. Teachers have to spend all day with a terribly behaved generation of screen addicted kids.
