@darkvulpine Eh I love League but Riot has a major history of killing projects the moment they aren't profitable enough. The TCG market in general is very saturated with ultra-high-price promos and they may very well be a bubble. There are a lot of things that could genuinely go wrong
commander's play experience sucks but it's popular because you can wander into the lgs TODAY and spend ~$30 on an out-of-fashion precon and start playing NOW. i think the pauper push idea is smart because save for Radically Fixing Standard it's the most materialist solution.
@guacamoleygo i really gotta give my biased vouch for magic here, the mana system is a huge change but i think yugioh is the only game doing magics level of instant speed action/reaction timing stuff, and that seems to be what a lot of people love about it
@Pastrytime This is honestly good advice in general. I think people use "we" this way when they want to avoid seeming accusatory - "we really shouldn't make this play here" sounds less critical than "they shouldn't" - but because this usage is so obvious it usually makes it more insulting
@RedZoneRogue This is a good promise don't get me wrong, but basically every game starts out with the company saying stuff like this, I wouldn't really be so optimistic
@caro_irl@CubeConOfficial was curious what this could possibly mean, looked it up, actually sick as hell. this is basically a middle-high school cube for me
@nestapendragon Basically this card reads "your creatures get +3/+3 anytime, anywhere, unless they are on the battlefield attacking or blocking right now"
@nestapendragon a "creature" is an object on the battlefield. if it's on the stack, it's a "creature spell". if it's in any other zone, it's a "creature card".
same goes for every card type ("artifact spell" means it's on the stack, "land cards" exist in your graveyard and deck, etc)
@BunnyJoBurton@MTGCal This is really funny to say when Pokemon TCG, the #1 collector game, is absolutely dirt cheap to play competitively. And it's supported by the collectors who rip packs fishing for alt arts and dump the base rarity playable cards
@TCG_AZ@chiefisdeaf@MTGCal He would probably be perfectly willing to sell to graders if they were willing to accept whatever grade came back. The issue is these people are gonna throw a fit and try to reverse the transaction if the card doesn't look like it's gonna grade 9-10.
