Sarthak Goswami has brilliantly exposed how Ethanol production is ruining a beautiful city.
He went to Byrnihat to investigate why a city with less than one lakh people is more polluted than Delhi, Ghaziabad & Lahore.
The reason? There are more than 80 factories in a small area, that are constantly pumping dust particles in the air.
The worst part is that these factories are producing Ethanol, the same product that is being sold as a solution to pollution.
I hope Gadkari can explain this without calling Sarthak a traitor.
Yesterday when I handed over my car for servicing,
I did not ask about the engine
I did not ask about the oil
I said just one thing
"PLEASE DO NOT WASH MY CAR."
The service advisor looked a little surprised.
But black car owners know exactly why.
A single FREE dealership wash can leave thousands of fine swirl marks on your paint,
ruining that deep mirror like finish
especially under sunlight.
That's why many enthusiasts
even with PPF or ceramic coating
still prefer to skip the complimentary wash.
So tell me
Do you trust the dealership wash,
or do you always say "NO WASH"?
Whenever the forced e20 mandate is questioned, NiGa's paid PR agency and IT cell bots become Vengaboys and start singing "Brazil".
To all such parrots -
Stop comparing India’s aggressive E20 roll-out to Brazil. It's a completely flawed parallel.
- Brazil started its "Biofuels" program way back in the 1970s. They spent 50+ years slowly building their entire fuel ecosystem, allowing infrastructure and automakers to mature gradually. We are compressing that timeline radically, leaving consumers to deal with sudden transitions.
- In Brazil, consumers get actual choice at the pump. They can select different blends at different, heavily incentivised price points. Crucially, ethanol is priced according to the "70% rule" - at least 30% cheaper than petrol - to offset its lower energy density. In India, consumers lack choice, and the discount on high-ethanol blends (like E85) doesn't yet cover the 20-30% drop in mileage.
- Brazilian roads are dominated by Flex-Fuel Vehicles (FFVs) capable of handling E0 to E100, a technology they mastered over two decades ago. India, however, has a massive legacy fleet of over 30 crore older vehicles built for E5/E10, which face serious risks of engine corrosion and exponential mileage drops on high blends.
- Finally, the environmental cost is vastly different. Brazil's sugarcane fields are largely rain-fed, blessed with abundant water. In contrast, India's sugarcane and grain-to-ethanol production draws heavily from highly stressed groundwater reserves, making a blind copy of the Brazilian model an ecological nightmare for our water security.
Forcing mandates without choice, true pricing parity, or technical maturity isn't following the "Brazil model" - it's ignoring it.

The effects on engine and mileage is crystal clear. That's why they don't want to release the report.
In fact automotive magazines and journalists are also instructed to keep their mouth shut.
Just need to go to a local work shop and ask. They'll tell the real story of one of biggest scams pulled out on ordinary Indians.
BJP banned vehicle washing centers amid water crisis
BJP banned all construction works amid water crisis
BJP banned use of ground water for farming amid water crisis
But, BJP doesn't have guts to ban E20, E85, E100 fuel which uses most water
That's the power of Nitin Gadkari.
👋📍Hello @HardeepSPuri@nitin_gadkari ji,
Every other country selling ethanol-blended fuel gives consumers a choice of fuel grades.
Why are Indians being sold only half the information?
And why are we not given the freedom to choose what fuel we buy with our own hard-earned money?
Or will giving people a choice reduce the profits of your family business?
@IndianOilcl when will #xp100#petrol come in stock across petrol pumps in chennai or India? I recently enquired in a pump and they said xp100 doesn't come these days. I would recommend updating the Indian oil pump app with stock availability as well.

The owner of this red car has a question for Mr. Nitin Gadkari.
He bought the car in 2019, and the car's manual clearly says that only E5 or E10 petrol should be used.
However, from April, E20 petrol has been introduced by the government.
So his question is: If his car is not designed for E20 fuel, where should he get suitable petrol, and who will be responsible for any loss or damage caused by this change?
The Wagon R Flex Fuel is in production. Being delivered to Ola/Uber. And Maruti has published: NO mileage on E85. NO mileage on E100. NO power output. NO price for private buyers. A car is on the road with zero published specs. This is not a product launch. It's a government prop with an engine.
Delhi Police were confused.
6 Honda City cars were stolen in a week.
But every car was later found intact.
No parts missing. No damage.
Just abandoned on lonely roads with an empty fuel tank.
Police tracked the thief—a 19-year-old named Amrit Singh.
When they caught him, he wasn't driving.
• He was sleeping.
• Driver seat reclined. • AC on full blast.
His reason?
"I don't have AC at home. Honda City's AC is amazing."
When a car ran out of petrol, he'd abandon it, take a bus home and steal another Honda City a few days later.
A high-level auto industry source told me that all companies are under strict instructions from the Govt. to keep silent on the issues being caused due to Ethanol. Similar pressure on auto publications and journalists to not reveal the true state of affairs.
KIA Sonet 2022 is compatible only up to E10 fuel. So why the hell are owners now being forced to use E20/E25/E30? How is this not blatant injustice and unethical treatment of consumers? Vehicle owners paid for one standard and are now being pushed into another. Accountability? @PetroleumMin@HardeepSPuri@nitin_gadkari
Of 672 crore litres of ethanol produced under Gadkari's policy:
56.75% from sugarcane. 38% from food grains.
0% from wood. 0% from waste.
The minister promised clean, waste-based ethanol in 2018. 7 years later, his family's sugarcane-linked firms are the beneficiaries. Not farmers. Not the environment. The family.
Fcuk ventilated seats & 360 deg camera, I want my car me to tell me the composition of petrol (ethanol & petrol percentage) & adulteration (if any) the moment I fill in the fuel.
A must have feature in India.
Continuous power outage in the Chennai Madipakkam South area for more than an hour, and residents are unable to get any response from the EB authorities. Repeated calls to the AE’s mobile number are going unanswered.
The situation is becoming unbearable. Families with infants, senior citizens, and patients are struggling in the heat. Those who have cars have started keeping their babies inside air-conditioned vehicles to escape the discomfort, while many others have come out and are waiting on the streets due to the lack of power and ventilation in their homes.
What is even more concerning is the complete absence of communication from the Electricity Board. Residents deserve at least an update on the cause of the outage and the expected restoration time.
Kindly look into this issue immediately and restore power at the earliest.

Ethanol is common in Europe. Both E95 and E10 are mixed with ethanol, so why the fuss in India? I use them in my cars and they run fine.
Well here is the catch, in EU, max permissible limit for Ethanol blend in the fuel is 10%. Its regulated and every car engine and components are designed accordingly. It can’t go wrong.
In India it’s already at 20%. On top, they are planning to increase it. No one knows if the auto manufacturers have adapted to this change.
It’s a proven fact that ethanol destroys seals and caskets in old cars that are not built for ethanol blended fuel. Ethanol also reduces the mileage by 2-5%.
This is one of the reasons why imported cars, specially made in EU will breakdown in India if people use cheap ethanol blended fuel.
So whoever is making these decisions in India, I hope they know what they are doing and I hope the automakers are adapting accordingly.
@volklub
NITIN Gadkari’s obsession with Ethanol will be the single reason why NDA will lose power eventually.
The anger is rising and it’s just going to get worse. Existing owners of vehicles bought a few years ago are experiencing issues. People buy vehicles after saving for years.
