The sheer arrogance in this statement by Nitin Gadkari sums up the government's stance on the fuel crisis.

Force consumers into buying cheaper-to-produce E20 ethanol blends at premium prices, suffer a massive drop in vehicle mileage, and if they complain about engine damage, tell them to track down ₹168/liter pure petrol instead.

We are paying record-high taxes only to be gaslit by the people we elected. The middle class isn't a bottomless ATM for policy experiments.

Sarthak Goswami has brilliantly exposed how Ethanol production is ruining a beautiful city.

He went to Byrnihat to investigate why a city with less than one lakh people is more polluted than Delhi, Ghaziabad & Lahore.

The reason? There are more than 80 factories in a small area, that are constantly pumping dust particles in the air.

The worst part is that these factories are producing Ethanol, the same product that is being sold as a solution to pollution.

I hope Gadkari can explain this without calling Sarthak a traitor.

Arguments given to justify ethanol being forced into incompatible vehicles:
1. It'll reduce crude imports
2. It'll benefit farmers

Reality:

1. Not just has the crude import not reduced (in fact it's growing at a pace faster than pre-ethanol days), but now we will be importing expensive US corn to make ethanol.
2. It'll benefit farmers, but NiGa forgot to mention that he's talking about US farmers.

Every day you hear from @nitin_gadkari that there is no mileage loss due to the use of ethanol, and he often gives the example of Brazil.

Let us expose his lies.

The claimed mileage of cars in Brazil like the Creta, Kwid, and Polo is actually 45-50% less than that of their Indian counterparts.

This is due to the E27 and E100 blending as compared to E10 mileage data for Indian cars.

Do you expect that in Brazil, where all cars are E27 compliant, they will give less mileage, but their counterparts in India, where most cars are not E20 compliant, will magically show no drop in mileage, as per Nitin Gadkari?

Car24 team recently did a test of mileage drop after using E20 petrol in a 2015 model Maruti Dezire.

Here are the results;
E0 - 22.2 km/l
E20 - 14.5 km/l

They also witnessed engine noise, reduced AC cooling and pickup.

Gadkari can lie whole day but he can not hide the facts.
