CJI BR Gavai is chief justice of India not because of MERIT,

He is CJI because of his Dalit Caste. He was promoted as Supreme Court Judge by passing 3 senior MERITORIOUS judges of the Mumbai highcourt.

His rise is not the outcome of hard work or judicial excellence it is the result of caste based favoritisms

This is DEI in Indian judiciary.
