@aibobecc_aibea@ChVenkatachalam@rupamsmail 9 days have been passed after understanding reached on 27 sep but still no result on 5 day banking. How much more time & lives u all required?
We are ill-treated.
We are humiliated.
We are betrayed.
Yet, there is still no self-discipline.
Maybe it’s time we realise: if we keep adjusting, nothing will change.
Our time. Our family. Our life.
Choose wisely. Choose self-discipline.
@AIBEAofficial@AIBEAofficial@ChVenkatachalam@rupamsmail if u all are thinking u have done a great job then why u people feared off? Please come live explain every member about the developments, what was agreed in last settlement? Why it was signed without 5 day banking?
@AIBEAofficial@AIBEAofficial@ChVenkatachalam@rupamsmail still only putting circular after circular no clarification is given. Let assume that you spirit is true. Now Let us know what is the timeline for 5 day banking? What assurance you people received from IBA @DFS_India for selling back?
@AIBEAofficial@AIBEAofficial@ChVenkatachalam@rupamsmail now doing only mockery. Why it was said that recommendations have been sent to Government for 5 day banking. Why u people betrayed us by saying that? Also meeting held in night? चोरी के काम ही रात के अंधेरे में होते है
@AIBEAofficial@AIBEAofficial@ChVenkatachalam@rupamsmail why u all 7 signatory come live & told the members actually what happened in the meeting? Also one more the Government is saying they never agreed to 5 day banking then what was mentioned in last bipartite settlement?
Dear @AIBEAofficial
Your circular says: “It is the democratic right of any member to raise questions and get clarified from the Union.”
Agreed. So here are the questions.
The strike was deferred at around 11 PM on 27 September 2026, at the very last moment, after discussions with the Government. The representatives went into that meeting. The rank & file didn't. The strike was then deferred.
What exactly happened in that meeting?
You have repeatedly referred to “positive developments.”
⚫What were those positive developments?
⚫What exactly was offered?
⚫What assurances were given?
By whom?
⚫Which demands moved forward?
⚫What precisely changed between the position before that meeting and the decision taken after it?
And most importantly:
⚫Why was the strike deferred without first taking the membership into confidence?
Today is 3 October. Six days have passed.
Yet the membership is still waiting for a clear account of what happened in that meeting.
Instead, this circular talks about “dirty critics”, “adversaries”, “rival forces” and “propaganda”.
Calling a question “propaganda” does not answer the question.
Bank employees were preparing for a strike. They were ready to sacrifice a day's salary and face the consequences of industrial action because they were told the issues were serious enough to warrant it.
Then, at 11 PM, the strike was deferred.
And now we are apparently expected to simply “trust the leadership.”
If there were genuinely positive developments, tell us what they were.
If the Government gave assurances, put those assurances before the members.
If there was a breakthrough, explain it.
If there was no concrete commitment and the decision was based on an expectation of further negotiations, say that honestly too.
That is not indiscipline.
That is accountability.
Nobody is questioning AIBEA's historical contribution. But the achievements of 1966, 1969 or 1993 cannot become a permanent shield against questions about a decision taken in 2026.
Past achievements deserve respect. Present decisions deserve scrutiny. Both can coexist.
And one more thing:
Unity does not mean “Trust us, but don't ask us what happened.”
Unity means: “We stand together, and therefore we owe each other an explanation.”
A disciplined membership is not a silent membership.
A united membership is not a frightened membership.
So before asking employees to “ignore the dirty critics”, perhaps the leadership should first answer the clean questions being asked by its own members.
⚫What happened on 27 September?
⚫What were the “positive developments”?
⚫What assurances were received?
⚫Why has the membership still not been given a clear account?
Questions are not indiscipline.
Accountability is not disloyalty.
Transparency is not propaganda.
Answer the members!!!

Nothing is going to happen.
