राजस्थान के कोटा स्थित न्यू मेडिकल अस्पताल में सीजेरियन डिलीवरी के बाद पांच प्रसूताओं की मौत के मामले में जांच रिपोर्ट ने चौंकाने वाला खुलासा किया है. रिपोर्ट के अनुसार महिलाओं को लगाया गया ऑक्सीटॉसिन इंजेक्शन नकली था. जांच में पाया गया कि इंजेक्शन में दवा की जगह पानी भरा हुआ था, जिसके कारण प्रसव के बाद होने वाला रक्तस्राव नियंत्रित नहीं हो सका और महिलाओं की हालत लगातार बिगड़ती चली गई. अंततः पांच प्रसूताओं की मौत हो गई. इस रिपोर्ट के बाद आजतक की खबर पर भी मुहर लग गई. क्योंकि आजतक ने महिलाओं की मौत के लिए नकली इंजेक्शन को जिम्मेदार ठहराया था.

While the news reported that 5 women had taken a turn for the worse, we have gathered details, and comprehensive reports are currently coming in…we are examining the details of each patient, such as whether they suffered from Postpartum Haemorrhage or subsequent multi-organ failure and have instructed the team there to ensure that all admitted patients receive proper care and treatment…when a patient is already anemic and experiences heavy bleeding, it can adversely affect liver and kidney function, potentially pushing the patient into shock or a critical condition…all patients remain under observation.”
