We were at 70%+ inflation. No reserves, no fuel, no medicine, and the president you helped bring to power running out the back door with his family. Sri Lanka was bankrupt and headless. The opposition was on record saying the country had collapsed and there was no way out. It fell on RW. In two and a half years he did and undid what had to be done and got it back on track. The country everyone said was beyond repair. He lost the election for it but the whole country is still eating off that work. The current lot are still running on his numbers.
