This has been a theory I’ve had for a long time, two things:
1. Some of the largest studios on Roblox who own multiple games are collecting massive amounts of data on players across all of their games, matching the people together, understanding patterns and are using that to either sell that data to 3rd party companies, or using that to know more information about players buying preferences to give them personalized dev-product offerings
2. This is somewhat unrelated, but I also believe some of these bigger studios that “do acquisitions” reach out to mass amounts of people pretending their interested in acquiring it, asking for game stats, and then ultimately scrape all of their data to fuel an algorithm that they use for god knows what. And they have no intention on actually acquiring the game.
7 years ago, the #Jailbreak Power Plant & Jet Ski update released!
Adding:
- Power Plant Robbery! ⚡️
- New Vehicle: Jet Ski! 🚤
- Water Obstacles! 🚧
Should this version of the Power Plant return?
Find something you actually care about bro.
I used to be in Ecom because it made good money. It was soulless for me.
I took 6 months off after selling my agency.
Did nothing but chill all day and soul search.
Now I make Roblox games.
And I fucking love it.
I’m 29 now btw been in internet marketing since I was 18.
I just love video games.
Once you find that thing you love, the fire will be lit again.
Cut out the noise.
Find yourself again.
Being a roblox dev is one of the best yet WORST things to do.
Everyday I live with the fear of my game being taken down, or my account being terminated.
Roblox's AI Moderation & support is genuinely so horrible that nobody can ever feel safe.
The only way to get a sense of security, is making it to the top. And being connected personally with roblox staffs.
I've heard this happening to others before, someone who actively commissions and payouts modelers for UGC creation.
Group payouts are meant to send robux to people, not to yourself. If we can't even pay developers with robux, then what really is the point of this feature?
Actively sending out robux, is considered "blackmarket"/USD selling by roblox terms.
And this is only one of yet many reasons to get falsely terminated for.
I'm pissed with how the moderation is currently, and I wish for a better future where everyone will have a sense of comfort, with good support.
@Roblox please take action, and provide us developers comfort without having the fear of being terminated falsely.
