@AppleSupport A Sonoma update was the root of the issue, It is not fair that I had to pay for the fix.

@AppleSupport software issue on MacBook Pro after factory reset.
Apple Support made me do a few key sequences, including disk erase but nothing worked, they booked an appointment at the authorized repair shop, where I had to pay for an OS reinstall.
