It's that time of the year when extended family members call to ask me which IIT, which branch their children should apply for. I don't think I add any value but I love speaking to 17-year olds to sense which way the wind is blowing.

Every year I am a little more surprised with the agency and smarts of the kids I speak to. There is a certain absence of hesitation, second-guessing and fear that my generation grew up with. I come out of these conversations more optimistic every year.

The events of the last few days where a bunch of 17-year olds singlehandedly forced CBSE to fix the system has been a sight to behold. This is exactly what I am talking about. The system was even worse when I was in school but none of us bothered or had the access to do anything about it.

The Ruchir Sharma quote about Indians disappointing both the optimists and the pessimists has a simple explanation. Indians contribute to the optimism, the faulty Indian apparatus contributes to the pessimism.

India's future depends on which of the two forces wins. It's a long race but I am putting my money on Indians - they will outrun the apparatus they inherited. If you take a long enough view, the outcome looks even more obvious.

@ABiggerSpalash they aim of that was to provide direction on how the teeth would look like, not to achieve a exact post treatment look.
Invisalign who has similar tool, kinda of do the same but their results are better because i assume they trained the model on their internal database.

tried hacking on the weekend a tool for my orthodontist wife on how teeth transformation would look after braces, no images models are yet capable of achieving a satisfactory result. nano banana had some potential
