Yesterday's reversal of his promise to allow Ukraine to build Patriot defense systems followed a call with the leader of the Russian war criminal regime. The reversal should provoke us to remember three things:

1. Conservatives and Republicans have conceded a benchmark of American liberty by reinforcing the idea that one man - the president - can start wars, tariff nations, suspend treaties, etc. - by fiat - notwithstanding the unconstitutionality of such actions.

2. Putin - not Laura Loomer, Melania, Congress - has ultimate sway with the American president on Ukraine.

3. On even the most basic issue of protecting women and children from being murdered in their sleep by giving Ukraine defensive weapons, the Administration remains on the wrong side.

Of course, we see every leader and every country that responds to Russia’s strikes on Ukraine. But the only strong and just response – the one that truly achieves its goal and helps people – is additional support for our state. The world has Patriot missiles. 🤨 Netanyahu blocked the transfer of Iron Dome systems to Ukraine

In 2023, the late Republican Senator Lindsey Graham supported sending Ukraine two air defense batteries owned by the US military. However, according to The Washington Post, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vetoed the transfer, fearing that the technology could fall into Iran’s hands.

Although the systems were purchased with US funds, Iron Dome was jointly developed by the United States and Israel, meaning Washington could not transfer them without Israel’s approval.
