God told Moses to keep the lamps burning (Ex 27:20). It reminds me of the light we keep lit on our altar at Morrison Methodist. The light burns 24 hours a day as a reminder of Jesus’ promise to be with us always. May Jesus light your darkness and give you hope and peace everyday.

Jesus is never absent in the pages of Scripture, and He’s certainly not absent in the pages of our stories either.

@UMNS As a conservative UMC I think the only hope of holding the big tent together is for the bishops and DSs to actually lead from and for the big tent rather than from their own preferred position (usually leaning to the left). My church is already losing people as a resullt of GC.

@UMC_CommonSense Lost 20% last year because we remained UMC. Lost a handful this year pre-GC. Losing 4 key leaders because of GC. Those are the ones I know of. I have said very little about GC. Leaders meeting this week may produce more losses.
