We all need to end academic casualisation + we still have many staff (esp. researchers) on fixed term contracts, but I do want to celebrate that things are changing. We have stopped ST Teaching Fellow posts, converted all to open ended contracts + almost all to lecturer grade 1/7

@PatrickLawren20 @Shelby_Loft There’s a large no. of ECRs precariously employed. They’re no longer students, no longer on scholarship & aren’t supported to do research or disseminate that research. The costs are high for attending but also for being absent. Geography needs to address this inequity better.
