Diplo shared that when they started working on the song, it was just Jimin singing over a guitar line with distortion, and they immediately felt like it was perfect and could be the hook.

He added that Jimin, alongside the team and V, helped shape what the song would be about, and that the whole track came together incredibly fast, in about 20 minutes!
