My girlfriend was shocked when I grabbed her hands as she wanted to make our bed π right after we woke up.
"What?" she asked.
At night when we sleep, our bodies release sweat and fluids into the bedsheets. When you just cover it with the duvet, you trap moisture, and allergens might breed in that warm environment. Those can lead to itchy eyes, sneezing, and skin itching if we come in contact with them.
I told her to leave it. I usually hang my bedding outside for about 30 minutes, dust it thoroughly, then continue with my morning routine-brushing my teeth, having breakfast, cleaning, and so on-before making the bed later. This has helped me prevent the early morning itching I get on my eyes and skin.
You can try it. It might help you too if you usually sneeze or have itchy skin. It might be harmful germs you cover up on your bed.
How did you make your bed π this morning?
