Former Okaloosa County Deputy Eddie Duran is seeking immunity after fatally shooting Senior Airman Roger Fortson in his own home in May 2024. Responding to a false 911 call, Duran fired within seconds after Roger opened the door holding his legally owned firearm pointed toward the ground. As Roger's family continues standing strong while awaiting the upcoming immunity hearing, we will keep demanding accountability and justice!
Some of y’all might be too young to remember but this song had all the soap operas in a straight up chokehold in the 80s.
Can’t believe Roberta and Peabo are gone.

As President, I would read 10 letters a day sent to me by ordinary Americans. At the Obama Presidential Center, we’ll have some of the letters I read — and responded to — every night. I still get emotional reading them, and it’s one of my favorite exhibits.
Recognize God's goodness in your life. Remember how He led you through the desert, how you met that person, how He brought you out of that problem. It wasn’t a lucky break; it was the Lord your God.
God is exactly who He said He is. He is the Great Physician, He is the Friend who sticks closer than a brother, He is the one who calms storms, and He is the King of kings and Lord of Lords. He is forever worthy to be praised.

The scripture says, “Don’t despise the day of small beginnings.” You have to be faithful with the small before God will trust you with more. You have to be your best right where you are. Stay faithful; your time is coming.
When you look back over your life, you’ll see the faithfulness of God, where He promoted you, protected you, healed you, favored you. Don’t take it for granted. It didn’t happen by accident, it wasn’t a lucky break; that’s the goodness of God.
We might be quick to blame ourselves when we make mistakes, but the Lord isn’t like that. He is “compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.” (Ps 103:8 NIV) Come to Him and let Him lovingly fill you afresh with His grace and wisdom.
Those times you were discouraged, He made a way. He provided when you didn’t see how. If you’re going to continue to go further, then you need to remember it is the Lord your God that has brought you this far and He is the One that’s going to keep you going.
What you’re believing for, what you’re dreaming of, may not have happened for a long time. This is not the time to get discouraged; this is the time to stir up your faith. You are closer to seeing it happen than you’ve ever been.
When you go through unfair situations, don’t get bitter. Keep serving. Keep being faithful. Keep helping somebody else rise higher. That difficulty is not there to stop you; it’s there to promote you.
Don’t get tired of doing what’s right. If you’ll keep passing the test, the scripture says your due season is coming. God is not only going to bring you out, but He’s going to make up for the time you thought you lost.
