@sheepGeekCP@GallagherAMAU How did you go generating the histogram of weights. I presume you did it in your database not on the TW-1 touchscreen as you are just using it as a “dumb” scale to send weights to your computer.
Thanks to John Keniry talking about the technology steamroller at the #SheepCRCFC He quoted Stewart Brand “Once a new technology rolls over you, if you're not part of the steamroller, you 're part of the road.” Quite apt I feel.
@sheepGeekCP tells #SheepCRCFC participants in Dubbo that precision sheep management using electronic identification technologies is so much more than just fleece weight/micron and body weights. And also how he does it. Thanks Mark!
@bo_lowe@EnglandJengland@GallagherAMAU@woolinnovation But if you set up the traits for sheep you should be able to use the software. Otherwise have you any details of the Canadian software version I can chase up. We use Practical Systems Stockbook for our sheep operations and for a number of clients. That might be an option
First run for new @Tru_Test XRS2 stickreader to identify who is still in the white tag ewe mob after visual culling. Used easy single key trait entry feature to capture daggy animal raddle marks before they disappear. Keeps me updated with main EID hardware brands for clients too
First session yesterday for my newest Lifetime Ewe Management course based around Binnum in SA’s SE. Weighing ewes using @GallagherAMAU TW-3 scales to get their standard reference weight and entering condition scores simply using the great touchscreen . @woolinnovation
@sheepGeekCP@automed_OS Mark. I get those messages too....Are you using @automed_OS for variable rate dosing, for animal treatment records or just for the ergonomics of just pulling the trigger to dose as 6in1 is 1ml dose. If you are using variable rate, what treatments and what hardware? Cheers
@BenDuxson @pracsystems @ramsaybaa@Walloco Nice quick and easy classing and drafting using the draft buttons on the touch screen. Why didn’t you just press save so you could class against EID? Or did that take too long.
We took the mothering up sensors off on Monday evening and it was really easy and quick. Now we just have to wait for the data from the software to come back. https://t.co/DY5a3e7hGc. Video shows sensors being downloaded which was a really simple system. Thanks Mark @Fergenetics
Breaking news! I’ve established my own consultancy and I’m now in business! Offering business management and livestock consulting services for the Great Southern and beyond!
We fitted sensors to allow us to mother up ewes and lambs within 24 hrs with Mark @Fergenetics yesterday. Really simple and easy. They come off later today. https://t.co/gFEfMLQXmH
