🚨This is the situation of Sikhs in India: Today Sikhs protested to demand the registration of an FIR against a Hindutva leader accused of ramming his car into Sikh sangat outside Gurdwara Panjokhra Sahib in Haryana on August 7. Instead of addressing their demand, Haryana Police, under the BJP government, allegedly used brutal force against the protesters, reportedly seriously injuring multiple Sikhs, including youngsters and elders.

Sardar Dosanjh, through his movies ‘Punjab 1984’ and ‘Panjab 95’ has profoundly depicted Panjab’s genøcide and plight. Most recently Sardar Dosanjh carried his Sikh identity with pride on global stage at Met Gala which was subject of great appreciation.

The targeting of Sardar Dosanjh is a veiled attack on his identity, Sikhi, Panjabi and Gurmukhi that he proudly carries on world stage because casting in film is a matter for producers of the film and not actor’s. Movies are part of art and showbiz and should not be made a subject of petty politics.
