This is the biggest egg-producing cities in India. Where 5 crore eggs are produced there every single day. 🐓🥚🐓

If you placed those eggs one after another, they could stretch from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. 🥚🥚

And behind every single egg is a hen living a life most people never get to see. Their beaks are cut.
Their claws and toes are trimmed.
Many spend their entire lives in tiny cages without ever touching the earth.🐓

We talk about cows. We talk about dogs. But hens?
Nobody seems to care!

Why? Because the egg industry has done a brilliant job of making us all believe that eggs are harmless.That no one gets hurt.
That it's just... nature.

Male chicks are killed simply because they cannot lay eggs.
The deeper this team researched what actually happens inside egg farms - the harder it became to look away.

हम और आप हर साल मानसून में रोते हैं। सरकार को कोसते हैं कि साहब, अभी चार महीने पहले ही तो सड़क बनी थी, पहली ही बारिश में इसके परखच्चे क्यों उड़ गए? कोई पुल चालू होने से पहले ही क्यों ढह जाता है?

आज जवाब आपके सामने है! जब किसी सड़क या पुल के बजट का आधा पैसा इन बड़े अधिकारियों के विला की ईंटों में, इनके फ्लैटों के मार्बल में और इनकी तिजोरियों के सोने में तब्दील हो जाएगा... तो सड़क पर कोलतार (डामर) की जगह सिर्फ धूल और मिट्टी ही तो बचेगी!

सड़कें और इमारतें भ्रष्टाचार के इसी दीमक के कारण ढहती हैं। हम गड्ढों में गाड़ियां उछालते हैं, अपनी रीढ़ की हड्डी तुड़वाते हैं, एक्सीडेंट में अपनों को खोते हैं... और ये साहब लोग हमारे ही खून-पसीने की कमाई से खरीदे गए ट्रिपलेक्स विला के सोफे पर बैठकर विदेशी शराब की चुस्कियां लेते हैं।

सुबह अलार्म बजने से पहले उठने वाले नौकरीपेशा भाई, धूप में दुकान का शटर उठाने वाले व्यापारी, और नमक-रोटी खाकर भी ईमानदारी से टैक्स भरने वाले आम नागरिक... जरा एक पल रुक कर सोचना।

तुम मार्च का महीना आते ही एक-एक रुपए का टैक्स बचाने के लिए सीए के चक्कर काटते हो। मेहनत की गाढ़ी कमाई का एक बड़ा हिस्सा चुपचाप सरकार की झोली में डाल देते हो ताकि देश तरक्की करे, अच्छी सड़कें मिलें, सुरक्षित इमारतें मिलें।

लेकिन सच तो ये है कि तुम्हारा टैक्स देश के विकास में नहीं, बल्कि इन मगरमच्छों के पेट के विकास में जा रहा है!

यह सिर्फ एक 'मोहन नाइक' की कहानी नहीं है। सिस्टम के गलियारों में न जाने कितने ऐसे 'नाइक' छिपे बैठे हैं जो जनता के पैसों को दीमक की तरह चाट रहे हैं। जब तक ऐसे भ्रष्ट अधिकारियों की पूरी संपत्ति जब्त कर के उसे सरेआम नीलाम नहीं किया जाएगा, और इन्हें ऐसी सजा नहीं मिलेगी जो आने वाली पीढ़ियों के लिए मिसाल बने, तब तक यह देश ऐसे ही गड्ढों में रेंगता रहेगा।

A man named Mudit Agarwal lost his wife, Rani Agarwal, to suicide on the night of Diwali.

During the postmortem, doctors handed over her gold chains, rings, lockets and 10 bangles to the police.

Soon after, Mudit was arrested in a dowry death case.

17 years later, the court acquitted him after finding no evidence against him.

He then asked the police to return the jewellery.

The police's written reply was unbelievable:

• The jewellery was kept on the terrace to dry.
• Rain "destroyed" the gold jewellery.
• Whatever remained was taken away by monkeys.

The court questioned the police:

"Why was jewellery kept on a terrace?
And how can rain destroy gold?"

The court concluded that police officials had misappropriated the jewellery and made false entries in official records.

Yet, even today, Mudit has neither received the jewellery nor any compensation.

आरोप है कि गरीब महिला ने आंटी की दुकान से 2 साल पहले 1200 रुपए का उधार सामान लिया था. जिसे वह लौटा नहीं पाई थी.
