I realised this tradition was made for people to feel abundant in an era when they didn’t have enough. Times are different now, most of us have way more than we need. So for diwali now we repurpose, mix & match clothes, it adds so much excitement, far more than buying online 2/2.

I have always loved traditions and often followed them as is but as I had children of my own, I had to improvise a bit so they understand the deeper meaning behind😇. One of the traditions that I modified for our home was to buy new clothes and linen each year for #diwali. 1/2
