Great example of lifting someone and creating opportunity.
In the late 90s, a group of Howard University students were accepted into a prestigious theatre program at Oxford, but they couldn't afford it.
Their teacher, Phylicia Rashad, turned for help to Denzel Washington, who paid for it.
One of those students was Chadwick Boseman.

How many times I’ve heard..it’s not easy for people of color to climb up on the corporate ladder so at one point “settle” and try to be happy there. One life to live & why we shouldn’t use talent & promote it regardless of color, gender & race! Let people breathe, live & do well.

I reminded myself, if I haven’t experienced these difficulties but they do exist for many. All we can do is have “radical kindness and giving”. My mother’s reminder during my childhood - if you bare injustice is wrong but if you witness injustice & do nothing is even more wrong.

A women called and shared that how she is barely coping as a single mother looking after her young children, increased expectations at work & always staying “plugged in”. A minority candidate making a comment, I gave up on my career aspirations long ago cuz’ I was “different”.
