---
Disney+ has confirmed the release of “Delusion.”
The Disney+ original series Delusion, the new work by director Han Jaerim—who has demonstrated outstanding direction that has captivated both the public and critics not only in films but also in series—is drawing anticipation. With a perfect casting lineup, the show has been confirmed for release in 2026.
Set in 1935 Gyeongseong, the story revolves around painter Yun Iho, who is commissioned to paint a portrait of the enchanting woman Song Jeonghwa, who hasn’t appeared in public for over half a century and is surrounded by suspicions and rumors. As he approaches her mysterious secret, events begin to unfold.
Director Han Jaerim, who has established himself as a master leading the Korean film industry with works like The Face Reader, The King, and Emergency Declaration, is known for combining originality and strong messages with commercial appeal. After receiving high praise at home and abroad for his first series The 8 Show, he now partners with two actors with distinct charm—Suzy and Kim Seonho—for Delusion, with the goal of captivating viewers worldwide.
Actress Suzy, who has steadily built her filmography with works like Architecture 101, Wonderland, and dramas such as Gu Family Book, While You Were Sleeping, and Start-Up, and who swept major domestic awards for her emotional acting in the series Anna, plays Song Jeonghwa. Known as the owner of Nammun Hotel, Song Jeonghwa is a character who has not shown herself to the world for over fifty years, shrouded in countless suspicions and mysteries. With a captivating beauty and an uncanny charm that defies understanding, Suzy is expected to show a completely new side of herself, possibly creating another career-defining character.
The painter Iho, who is commissioned to create Junghwa’s portrait, is played by actor Kim Seonho, who has showcased a wide acting spectrum across genres in works like the film The Childe, the dramas Start-Up, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, and the Disney+ original series The Tyrant. Upon encountering the mysterious woman Song Jeonghwa, Iho’s desire for true art intensifies. Trapped in a hotel full of secrets, he becomes ensnared by an inexplicable fear and confusion, gradually becoming mesmerized by Song Jeonghwa. This role hints at yet another character transformation for Kim Seonho. The reunion of Suzy and Kim Seonho since Start-Up is also sparking excitement, with high expectations for their intense character portrayals and fantastic chemistry.
Meanwhile, Delusion is scheduled to be released globally on Disney+ in 2026.

‘When Life Gives You Tangerines’ Director Kim Wonseok Sends Public Love Call to #KimSeonHo: “I Want to Appeal”
---
'When Life Gives You Tangerines' director Kim Wonseok has openly expressed his desire to work with actor Kim Seonho.
On the morning of the 4th, the Next on Netflix 2025 Korea event was held at the Fairmont Ambassador in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul.
During the event, director Kim Wonseok addressed #CanThisLoveBeTranslated? director Yoo Youngeun, saying, “I want to appeal to Kim Seonho and Go Younjung. How should I communicate with them?” He then specifically asked, “Does Kim Seonho dislike directors who push too hard? Does he prefer a more careful approach? Some directors are very expressive in their reactions—does he dislike it if they aren’t?”
In response, director Yoo Youngeun smiled and said, “You don’t need to appeal at all, director. You’re already an amazing filmmaker. I’m sure both actors would want to work with you.”
She continued, “The actors I met on set had a strong passion and love for the project. ‘Language’ doesn’t just mean foreign languages—everyone has their own way of expressing themselves. For communication to work, it’s important to have an open mind, and both of them were very open about the project, which made the set atmosphere really great.” She then added with a sense of humor, “Tomorrow is our last day of filming, and the mood has been warm and harmonious until now. I’ll make sure to pass along your words to the actors tomorrow.”
