Paid β¦180k in August. October: "price don change, this is business." The vendor lost the whole deal over β¦10k. π¬
Vendors, your agreed price is your word.
Buyers, would you walk away like this, or pay the extra β¦10k to avoid wahala? π
My younger sister got married last week, and a beer vendor lost a β¦180k deal because he wanted an extra β¦10k.
I paid for 20 crates of beer in August. At that time, one crate cost β¦9k. The vendor agreed to supply the drinks at the same price this month, so I sent him β¦180k for the 20 crates.
Last week, I called him to deliver the drinks, and he told me the price had increased by β¦500 per crate.
I reminded him of our agreement, but he said, βThis is business.β
He asked me to send an additional β¦10k, bringing the total to β¦190k, at β¦9,500 per crate.
I refused and told him to refund my money. He sent it back, so I went to another vendor and bought the 20 crates at β¦9,300 per crate.
@kingjace20 β¦45M car and na fake bitcoin alert dem bring π³ Car dealers, well done for checking. For any big sale, the money must land in your own bank or wallet app before the keys leave your hand. Screenshots and "e dey pending" are not money.

Vendor: "Abeg pay to my account first" π Na so dem dey catch person. Pay on a protected Prefrpay link, no account needed. Your money dey held till delivery.
@WinterFairyEfeM@Just_jujet Fair for food orders, since nobody can resell a cooked stew capsule. Just confirm the alert in your bank app before the rider leaves, never off a screenshot.
@omozokpea_jnr Cash on delivery is what built that early trust. The bigger gap today is the Instagram and WhatsApp vendors where most people now shop, with zero buyer protection between the transfer and the doorstep.
@MarLarx87533@kicks_storeNG@pathezzy Good question to settle before paying. If it's not pay on delivery, at least confirm the business name on the account matches the page, and ask for a live video of your exact pair before you send anything.
@Mikeliberation Collecting full payment in August and repricing in October is not business, it's breaking the deal. A vendor who holds your money since August should also hold your price.
@Navigatorxys@Ruffyking001 Smart call. "E dey available, send fund" is the oldest script on this app. If a seller refuses pay on delivery, ask for escrow: Prefrpay holds the money with Flutterwave until delivery is confirmed, so neither side has to gamble.
You list am 45k? Na 45k you go collect.
Text Prefrpay the item + price on WhatsApp and get a protected pay link. Once delivery confirms, 100% of your listed price lands in your bank.
@Emmanuel_Eze01@shredwithQpid Totally fair after being burned. With Prefrpay you still pay first, but the money sits with Flutterwave and only gets released to the seller once delivery is confirmed.
"What I ordered vs what I got" shouldn't cost you your money.
With Prefrpay, you check the item at your door before you give the PIN. Until you do, your money stays with Flutterwave. It doesn't go to the seller.
Item correct? Give the PIN.
Something's off? Don't give the PIN.
Simple. Calm. No wahala.
