I entered the workforce for a second time almost a year ago today. The first was right out of college with a masters in accounting working for a big 4 firm, I worked crazy hours but gained a ton of experience.

After 5 years in public accounting, I was burnt out and was blessed with a husband that could provide for us. I stayed at home for the next 8 years having 4 beautiful babies in 5.5 years

Long story short. Make smart decisions. If you are going to college and want to be a homemaker, choose a major that is always needed, make sure you can support your family, if god forbid something happens.

I met with a couple recruiters and the first one had an interested company. They wanted to pay less, I told them I wasn’t interested for less. 3 interviews and about 7 days later I had a job offer. Making the same I made when I left the workforce 8 years ago

After a lot of discussion we decided I would put feelers out for positions almost little over a year ago. I was nervous but it is hard to survive on one income as a family of 6 unless you have a lot of resources.
