When IISERs first started, they used to pay scholarships to every student.
Then those scholarships ceased, but students who earned KVPY or DST Inspire fellowships received financial support.
Then KVPY was stopped. Now it appears that DST Inspire is gone too👇
Meanwhile the fees have continued to go up. Now it’s close to 60K per semester.
Slowly but surely IISERs are being put beyond the reach of financially weak but talented Indian students. We have barely heard a word of protest from Indian academics on this.
Three women who spend their entire day in an AC environment, drive big fuel guzzling SUVs are laughing about how Dia Mirza’s son told off a poor nariyal wall “hamare ghar mein plastic allowed nahin”

Rape victim k!lled her rapist after his release.
She got arrested and her statement was -
“He raped me, not the State. Who gave you the right to forgive him without consulting me?”
Do you agree with her,
Yes or No?
Yesterday, while driving from Varanasi to Delhi on the Ganga Expressway, I witnessed something I will never forget.
An i10 had crashed into a truck after what seemed to be a tyre burst. four people were trapped inside, fighting for their lives. Without thinking twice, I stopped. It took nearly 10 minutes to break open the rear door with a metal rod and rescue an elderly lady. The front door wouldn't open, so we broke the windshield to pull the others out. All were soaked in blood, It was a sight no one should ever have to witness.
A couple in their 50s and few passersby also stopped to help. Together, we did everything we could. As the ambulance was delayed, I carried the injured into my car and drove until we met it halfway. Before leaving, I made sure all their belongings reached them safely.
After almost one and a half hours, I continued my journey. Later, I learned that all had survived. That one piece of news made every second of that rescue worth it. Life can change in a matter of seconds. Please inspect your vehicle before every long trip. Don't ignore worn tyres, unusual sounds, or warning signs. Reach a little late if you have to, but reach safely.
Please Help when you can. One day, it could be you or someone you love waiting for a stranger to stop.

@abhijit_MLab@_Dasoham In India those who eat animal based diet do categorize themselves as "non-vegetarian" in general. They do exist though outside the standard vocabulary. BTW, who is appeasing vegetarians ? If I eat eggs and still regard myself a veggie, that's me. It's nobody's business

After the earthquake in Venezuela, a family was searching for their baby among the rubble. The father was calling out to him tearfully—AND THE BABY CAME CRAWLING OUT. This is a miracle.
Hakim: ′′ Yardım isteyecek yeriniz ,kimseniz yok muydu? ′′
@abhijit_MLab the question is whether was egg served everyday or once in a week by the previous contractor ?
Was handing over of the contract to ISKCON purely ideological ?
Eggs are good, but if ISKCON serves balanced veg protein everyday, that's better than an occasional egg.
Rest is noise
@gharkekalesh they very young children. Please delete the video or at least blur their faces if you are keen to spread awareness about safety issues for toddlers in
preschools. Toddlers, especially boys, can become very aggressive. They can be corrected.
📍Anganwadi in Nandgaon, Panvel, Raigarh, Maharashtra
Such an act is completely unacceptable and cannot be overlooked. The woman must face the strictest legal consequences for kicking the child.
@rishibagree Serious child abuse. She should face severest punishment - not warnings, not counseling. Charge her with criminal offense and child abuse, dismissal
Her name was Neha Shoree.
She was a drug inspector in Punjab.
In 2009, while posted in Ropar, she raided a chemist shop run by a man named Balwinder Singh.
During the inspection, she found dozens of types of tablets commonly misused by drug addicts. According to official records, he could not produce the required documents for them.
She cancelled his licence.
Then she moved on and continued doing her job.
By 2016, Neha Shoree had become the zonal licensing authority at a government drug laboratory in Kharar, near Mohali.
She was thirty six years old.
She had a young daughter at home. Her father was a retired Army captain who had fought in the 1971 war.
The man whose licence she had cancelled never forgot what had happened.
On the morning of March 29, 2019, Balwinder Singh walked into her office in Kharar carrying a licensed revolver.
He shot her inside her workplace.
Neha Shoree was rushed towards a hospital but died on the way.
The gunman then turned the weapon on himself and died soon afterwards.
According to the police, she had been due to testify against him in court.
Ten years had passed since the raid.
Ten years after she enforced the law, he came back for revenge.
Her father later said that his daughter had lived under pressure for years because of her work, but she never compromised and never backed down.
She was killed for doing exactly what the job had asked her to do.

Important for public information!
I would like to update that the third paper on cow research, funded using India's public money under the SUTRA-PIC (Scientific Utilization through Research Augmentation - Prime Products from Indigenous Cows program) has undergone exhaustive post-publication peer review.
The paper was published in Biochemical Engineering Journal this year. The authors are from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Dhanbad (Jharkhand).
This is the paper:
https://t.co/9niHoCSvEO This study was done in Jharkhand and the total amount of public money given was INR 36,16,859/- (~38500 USD).
As per the study, the researchers transformed ordinary cow dung into a specialized carbon material that highly effectively soaks up toxic chromium pollution from water. Instead of throwing away this metal-filled waste, they successfully reused it to build a working, long-lasting energy storage device called a supercapacitor.
Well, they did not. They made it all up.
Here is a plain-language summary of the fatal flaws found in the paper:
🟡The authors claim their material successfully absorbed a massive amount of toxic chromium—roughly 22% of its total weight. However, their own chemical scan shows the final product contains almost zero chromium (0.09%), making their main conclusion physically impossible.
🟡After testing this material in a battery setup that contains absolutely zero chromium, the reported amount of chromium inside the material mysteriously multiplied by 47 times (from 0.09% to 4.24%). Elements cannot spontaneously generate out of thin air, which strongly indicates the data was fabricated.
🟡The fundamental thermodynamic math used to prove how the material captures pollutants is entirely broken. The reported numbers for energy, heat, and entropy literally do not equal each other when plugged into standard physics equations, heavily suggesting the results were manually made up.
🟡The paper claims hard statistical proof that one type of cow dung is superior to another, but the actual difference between them is a fraction of a percent and mathematically insignificant. Furthermore, the statistical "p-values" they reported are mathematically incorrect for the tests they claim to have run.
And one more point which requires professional image manipulation software for checking - which me or the helping team did not have access to)...
🟡The photos intended to show the physical "coated" battery electrodes appear to be digitally faked. The frayed edges and tape cuts match the uncoated metal so perfectly that it looks like solid black boxes were simply photoshopped over the original image (this is only a basic allegation, needs confirmation).
With this review, I am stopping further such analysis on these so-called cow-research science papers glorifying Indian tradition. These "researchers" and "scientists" should be ashamed of themselves. Real science requires truthful validation, not beggarly applause or promotions from the hands of the "agenda-driven" masters that feed you.
All three papers criticisms have been uploaded to Pub-Peer and official notifications sent to the respective journals and their research integrity teams. Two papers are already under investigation by respective journal.

The science community in India must fight tooth and nail to prevent AYUSH pseudoscience infiltration into their revered STEM institutions. This is not a good thing, moving forward.
If you are serious about knowing the history of quantum mechanics, you cannot miss Jagdish Mehra and Helmut Rechenberg's opus. Unlike many other authors, Mehra knew almost every quantum pioneer personally and conducted interviews with them, and the volumes contains fascinating anecdotes in footnotes and first-person quotes that are not found anywhere else. The series had glowing reviews from the likes of Dirac, Feynman, Bethe and Chandrasekhar. Unfortunately, the set is either unavailable or expensive; I collected my volumes over several years.
