I was not told before my sitting for maths that I was going to have to learn how to read fast or that I need to practise questions with ear plugs. Why is sample paper questions only a few lines but exam was a whole paragraph? Why have you not addressed the maths paper? @TheGPhC
I think I finally hit the end. Pharmacy just isn't for me anymore. I can't take the work load, the mistreatment, and all the same bs everywhere I go to only barely scrape by. I thought I'd make it but it's just too much
@TheGPhC You know what ..you are going to try again. Go back into the office and read what we have written. We want lower grade boundaries, if we fail..we don't want this attempt to count. We want EVERYTHING taken into consideration.
@TheGPhC This isn't right or fair. Why can't we all nullify and get the attempt back after the 29th? If you can "extend" a deadline surely being fair isn't going to harm anyone?
Anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, undermined, disrespected, alone, unfair, not appreciated, lack of empathy and support, exhausted, no confidence and trust in our registration body is how us pre reg trainees feel. Step up and own up to mistakes #gphcexam#preregexam#gphc
Just got and email for the GPhC “addressing” the concerns of the trainees who sat the exam. I’ve never felt more gaslit reading over some text then I do now. It’s funny that they completely disregard that ridiculous calculation exam in one of the sections. (1)
After a week’s build of anxiety surrounding the GPhc examination, today I ended up cracking and having a complete breakdown, infront of all my work colleagues. Thanks a bunch @TheGPhC#gphc
Another effect of the scandalous #preregexam is that we potentially lose a pool of much needed talent due to the chaos of one exam. It is the future of pharmacy and ultimately patients that will be impacted by this colossal waste of skills & expertise. Time to scrap the exam.
Okay this response has now been used a few times.
Please be open to changing your strategy now. have a public, open space conversations on how you’re planning to rectify these big mistakes you have made!
I don’t see the #registrationassessment discussion going away anytime soon. Mistakes have been made so what would you do to rectify them? Is there a single best solution for all trainees? @rpharms@the_pda @GPPharmaSid @TheGPhC#pharmacists
This is all too familiar a story now - trust, hope & confidence has been replaced by despair, exhaustion and mental distress over potential lost futures. ALL candidates were affected and ALL candidates need a fair and effective solution to this #preregexam#prereg#gphc
When a regulating board fails to uphold consistency & fair regulation across the country, you disregard the exam, you at least heavily lower the pass mark. What you don’t do is give SOME trainees a free attempt and not others, ALL are affected. That is not how you regulate #GPhC
There needs to be some sort of approved/official revision material as even the @TheGPhC practice questions are in NO way reflective of the real #prereg. Where are Nov candidates supposed to revise calcs like those on the June paper? This cannot happen yet AGAIN in 4 months time!
Trainees are reporting to the #GPHC that they suffered lack of exam rights & regulations ACROSS the country. @TheGPhC respond by offering delayed exam takers a free attempt and access to the register. There are OTHER issues. This is a cover-up to hush the widespread complaints.
#Trainee Pharmacists who successfully completed an MPharm degree, & a year of training in a pharmacy, are all adamant that their calculations exam did not reflect the framework, nor did it represent what is expected of a pharmacist in a 3 minute time frame. #GPHC
