๐จ๐๏ธ Rio Ferdinand advises West Ham over Mateus Fernandesโ ยฃ80 million valuation:
๐ฃ๏ธ โWest Ham should learn from Brighton and be careful not to become too greedy with Mateus Fernandes.
Last season, Brighton rejected a ยฃ75 million bid for Carlos Baleba because they believed he was worth much more and valued him at over ยฃ100 million.
Fast forward to today, and his value has reportedly dropped significantly. Heโs no longer one of the hottest names on the market, and Brighton are now looking back at a huge opportunity missed.
In football, timing is everything.
The smartest clubs know when to hold on and when to cash in.
If West Ham push too hard, they might end up learning the same lesson Brighton learned the hard way.โ

"I heard Real Madrid and Jose Mourinho are interested in me, they can buy me on FIFA. My heart belongs to Arsenal"
๐ต Thierry Henry on Chelseaโs long-term project under Xabi Alonso
โYou cannot keep changing direction every season and expect success overnight.
If Chelsea truly believe in this project, then stick with it. Stop changing plans halfway through because results are not immediate. Iโm hearing claims that Alonso could be given full freedom to sign whoever he wants, and honestly, that could become a huge problem.
Because if you suddenly start rebuilding everything again, then what was the point of the last few years? You cannot spend years collecting young players for a project, then restart the entire thing because a new manager arrives.
Look at Arsenal. It took Mikel Arteta years to build something. People doubted him, fans wanted change, but the club stayed patient and trusted the model.
Chelsea fans may not like hearing this, but constantly restarting is part of the reason the club keeps struggling. You cannot buy 15 players, sack managers, reset the project every season and expect trophies immediately. Football does not work like that.โ
