The "closed loop" cooling system doesn't have any long term studies to prove that its a valid and non-impacting system. Multiple 'experts' have been questioned in multiple city counsel meetings in multiple states and have stated this very thing. Why do you think they are placing these centers in mostly rural locations? Certainly a part of it is the cost of the land, and that's a fair point. But, if they were to put them in more urban areas, such as Detroit i.e., the land costs wouldn't be an issue, but the waste water part then becomes an issue due to the regulations and requirements waste water treatment in areas the city/county manages.

You left out one very important and relevant detail. Officers and enlisted have different rules when it comes to speech (and several are the same for sure). Officers have different rules because of their commissioning authority.

Replace that major with a NCO, and the discipline would take a similar path but would diverge with which UCMJ articles they are charged with and the potential disciplinary outcomes.

The major doing what he did is a lot worse than an NCO/enlisted doing the same exact thing using the same exact words.

A better scenario would be to use a BN CDR and CSM and B Co's CDR speaking to the embedded media....in my opinion of course.

Its not a kid issue (toddlers and younger) its a parent issue. If a young child starts crying/tantrum, parent should try to soothe them quickly. If they continue, parent should remove the child; take them outside or to the restroom.

Problem today is a lot of parents just let their child run amuck and don't give a shit about other people.
