Printed my lil DIY game-making pamphlet, based on @pretendogames 24XX and Jared Sinclair’s Whsts so cool…? to help kids (or adults?) to easily make their own games. Came out pretty nice.
Me making RPGs with health, stress, conditions: 🙂
Me running Resistors (2400 @pretendogames) and able to tailor the pacing and risks of combat and situations as needed: 😍
Our cast member Whit wrote a micro #ttrpg using the 24XX system by @pretendogames about political intrigue in the Roman Republic! Check it out and give him feedback, free on itchio.

You can find the game here: https://t.co/BXjh4caxDt. While it is a paid product I've setup 50 free community copies for people to use. So get em while they last.
Big thanks to Jason Tocci of @pretendogames for creating the 2400 system and making it available for other developers
I've been cooking up some tabletop RPGs in addition to my other projects. Today I'm thankful to release my 1st #TTRPG "24XX Robot Repair". A rules-light system like other 24XX games, this "mundane adventure" centers on life as a self-employed robot technician.

@jeeyonshim@jdragsky@austin_walker Thank you for sharing this. I lost a bunch of notes from the Apple Notes app recently (which I thought were backed up, but weren’t), started redoing the game in Scrivener…
It’s a handy app, but it takes some time to figure out which of its many features you can ignore.
It's very funny when people tell me it's impossible to get new people to play RPGs and that short sessions don't work, and then argue with me when I say "actually it's easy and they do work, this is literally my job, here are examples of it working".
@KevinPetker If I were making a swashbuckling space pirate 2400 game (damn, maybe I should 🤔), there might be a special ability or rule specifically to encourage this kind of thing, like, “When you go over the top with a flair for the dramatic in front of a crowd, get a bonus on your roll.”
@KevinPetker On a 1-2, the stated risk is what happens. On 3-4, it’s not as bad, but not quite what you wanted. (You might kick the drink into a guy at the next table and piss HIM off, but the target is still plenty intimidated. Or the target isn’t impressed, but all his buddies are.)
@KevinPetker Kinda! Grave’s rule is that while dead, you can’t take actions, but your spirit (literal? Figurative? Up to you) inspires your allies, so you can add your Charisma score to an ally’s roll each round. (Inspired by Whitehack.)
unfortunately i live in the ass end of capitalism where first world ppl benefit from my exploitation so instead why not check out gubat banwa: https://t.co/yOoZklXWU2
Sifting through the Hexcrawl Toolbox. Impressed so far! Easy setup & travel procedures (clearly adapted from other sources, but still, tidily presented). Some neat, actually-system-agnostic magic items. And my kid is excited to play with all the doodads. https://t.co/rngSdJnDW9
