you are the love you keep looking for in this world. you are the source of it, you are surrounded by it, and you give it meaning just by existing. everything you want to feel is already within you.
I hate to tell you this because it sounds like bullshit when you first hear it, but you really can choose to reframe every hardship in your life as something you can learn from or draw kindness and empathy and connection from. Even though of course you wish it never happened.
Your relationship with yourself cannot be built entirely around improvement. At some point, you have to become someone you are allowed to enjoy being. You get to be proud of who you are. Present tense.
all roads lead you back to yourself, to the standards you ignored, the boundaries you softened, the intuition you doubted. life keeps repeating lessons until you finally listen and become a better version of yourself.
Your job is important but, so are your workouts, your lunch breaks, vacation days, hobbies, the people waiting for you when you get home.
Works pays for your life. It isn't supposed to replace it.
Made a list in my journal titled, ‘I like the way I feel when…’, and it’s a list of nice things I do for myself so I’m reminded to reach for them when I want to feel better.
