I just don’t quite get why @BorisJohnson isn’t #stayinghome & doing video press conferences. PERFECT opportunity IMHO to show people how it’s done. His podiums aren’t 2 metres apart, journos aren’t 2 metres apart, it’s all ridiculous. He’s doing them every day.
@edinburghcastle trying desperately to book tickets via your website but can’t select a date which means tickets are always sold out when we get there. I’m a member and not sure what to do/where to go from here? Thanks so much in advance
@swissportNews I am desperately awaiting a response from your customer service team to an email I sent a week ago - in the initial contact I had with them they responded within 24-36 hours but now I’m not getting any response at all and the situation is urgent.
Saw me but the bus left the stop at 9.14. I now have a 14 min wait, a distraught 6 year old who’ll miss his lesson, and a distressed baby in a buggy. And this experience is a constant with @on_lothianbuses
@on_lothianbuses horrible experience this morning. 21 bus due at kings road stop at 9.18. As we walked down at 12 min past, I saw the bus coming along. Got my 6 year old to sprint with me while I pushed the buggy. I was about 100 yards behind the bus, I’m not sure if the driver
@on_lothianbuses I’m sure you’re not keen for another tweet from me complaining (though I’ve never had a response so who knows whether they register or not) but walked to the bus stop this morning to see what time the next 49 was and saw: so I can see the map but not todays times
@on_lothianbuses I’m afraid I lost my sanity on a Lothian bus and no one has been in touch directly. It might have gone last night, or it might have been this morning as I’m on a 26 again which has just inexplicably stopped on Princes St for 10 minutes and unfortunately I’m late again.
@on_lothianbuses bus finally came and could only let 2 people on - it is dangerously busy with children sitting on the steps. I know the festival is on but this service is often unreliable on weekdays at this time.
@on_lothianbuses really disappointed again with the service . Waiting at Magdala crescent and the 4.09 towards seton sands/Tranent didn’t turn up, neither has the 4.29, & app says next bus is 6 min away. I’ve been late for nursery pickup several times this school holidays.
I'm not sure whether it's an appliance fault or an installation fault from @BarrattHomes but despite this appliance not working properly when we did our home walk through on completion day, it's still not fixed. Some help or support would be appreciated here!
@Electrolux I've just spent 25 minutes on the phone to your helpline waiting patiently to speak to someone about a gas fault with our brand new appliance which was new when we moved into our @BarrattHomes only to be hung up on after a message saying 'sorry we couldn't answer'.
@rickoshea Am I stating the obvious to say Gomorrah? Apart from the characters all being really rounded, mostly horrible, and also horrible in their relatability, it's worth watching just for the interiors. Also lots of vespas.
@poornabell these tweets are so true. I think I really 'got' it when, just before lockdown and freshly moved to Edinburgh from London, a woman who's now a mate saw me on the bus the morning after we'd both been at a small book signing. She did the friend equivalent of a pickup line.
@Redbird2510@kingstonwrites On a (Catholic) school trip in Rome when I was 16, on a train, an older man put his hand in mine. Except it wasn't his hand. I couldn't find the words to explain to the Catholic priest who was chaperoning us.
@thefingersofgod@straycarnivore My child has learnt it. I won't share with you the video of him singing it on the bus, so that he doesn't sue me when he's of age.
@Matineegirl I think no harm at all in emailing the publicist who sent it to you or the editor if you know them! I'd personally always rather hear and then if a further chat needs to happen, it can and will xx
@tes @alondonbookman @frankiegilman melted snow’ except that they’re lying on melted advent calendar chocolate + weetabix and we can’t travel out of our tier... @tes @alondonbookman #Tes12days
@tes @alondonbookman I couldn’t possibly narrow down to one favourite quote, but as I mentioned to @frankiegilman
yesterday, trying to get my 3 children organised & into bed after a wet Edinburgh day puts me in a v TS Eliot frame of mind when they’re ‘galled, sore-footed, refractory, lying down in
