It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that I announce the passing of His Majesty the Omukama of Tooro, King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, at approximately 10:00 p.m. this evening.
This is an immeasurable loss to the Royal Family, the people of Tooro and the nation of Uganda.
Omukama Atulize.
Enkuba Etutire.
I call upon the people of Tooro to remain united, calm and prayerful during this difficult time.
The continuity of the Crown is assured. His Majesty leaves behind a Prince as his heir, whose identity will be formally revealed at the appropriate time, in accordance with the traditions and customs of Tooro Kingdom.
An official statement will follow with further details, including the funeral and mourning arrangements.
May His Majesty the King rest in eternal peace.
Someone blocking you doesn’t necessarily mean you did something wrong. Sometimes it’s something you posted that they can’t relate to, your lifestyle, the people you associate with, or even a comment you made on a friend’s post.
It’s not always about you. Everyone has their own reasons for blocking people, and you’ll probably find that many people have blocked you whom you don’t even know. Sometimes, they’re simply protecting their peace, and that’s okay.

The glorification of Mary, body and soul, teaches us that our true beauty does not lie in hiding the signs of aging, but in revealing the signs of love that never end, and are even impressed on our flesh (cf. 1 Cor 13:8).

Dr. Jimmy Spire Ssentongo @SpireJim has spent years using his voice and talents to hold power accountable as his contribution towards a better society for us all.
Instead of honoring his work, the regime is actively working to silence him through, among other oppressive tactics. A court order was recently issued against him, by which he is required to pay a total of UGX 30,000,000/= within 14 days or spend three months in prison. Why? Because he made a post on his social media platform calling out an injustice that, in the court's wisdom, amounts to contempt.
I am calling on all Ugandans of good conscience, in Uganda and abroad, to stand with Dr. Spire in whatever way we can, and help him resolve this challenge.
Role of Youth in Crime Prevention
When people hear the words crime prevention, many immediately think of the police, courts, or prisons. But the truth is this:
The first line of defense against crime is not law enforcement it is informed, empowered, and responsible young people.
As youth, we are not just the leaders of tomorrow; we are the changemakers of today. We make up a significant portion of our communities, and our choices have the power to shape the future.
There are moments that remind you just how far you’ve come, and this is one of them.
Working with UNAFRI (United Nations African Institute for the Prevention of Crime and Treatment of Offenders)@UNAFRI21 has been one of my biggest dreams. There was a time when I could only imagine being part of an institution dedicated to justice, crime prevention, and making communities safer across Africa. Today, I get to contribute to that mission.
Little me would be so proud not because I’ve reached the finish line, but because I never stopped believing that purpose, hard work, and faith could open doors that once seemed impossible.
To the younger version of me who dared to dream beyond what she could see: we made it. And this is only the beginning.
You want to stay home, bake sourdough and have 9 kids? Wonderful!
But if another woman wants to go to med school and become the ob-gyn who helps you deliver those 9 kids, you don't get to guilt or shame her for HER CHOICE.
