Something broke inside of me this year. Got hopeless in all aspects of life.
Can’t figure out the reason for this sadness that sits inside me.
Not even restless as I used to be.
But somehow everything feels heavy. Like there’s a weight on my chest that won’t lift off.
This Lindsay Clancy case is a perfect litmus test of male intelligence and ability to empathise with women.
Ask your male friends and lovers and partners their opinions, and take their answers seriously. Factor that in as you're deciding to procreate with any man.
A stupid Nigerian will see someone grieving over the loss of a loved one and think that’s the perfect moment to thank God their own loved one is still alive. Very very very stupid fools
Unboxing new shit is therapeutic asf.
Shoe, perfume, wrist watch, electronic gadget, new game...
"I dey outside with your package" dey send stress comot my body.
Bitch, you’re Black *and* Nigerian. Your president is a functional vegetable who will likely rule you for another four years. You have insurgents threatening your existence in your own backyard and you can’t do fuck all about it. You wake up every day knowing that one day you may have to pay a ransom praying that your body or that of someone you love is at least recovered in time for a proper funeral. You could be dispossessed of everything you own in one sweep. Your life expectancy is shit and there is no lifeline. You are one arrest away from becoming another forgotten sheep in a broken system, one medical emergency away from becoming a dead fly. Your offspring were already in danger before ever being born.
So wherever women’s rights are being taken away, you are still doomed. Doomed as a Nigerian. Doomed as a Black man. Because wherever you go, your rights are next. You too are standing on rights that were fought for, given legal protection, and can be taken away. And any machinery of oppression that comes for women’s rights will come for yours too. You will have no freedom and no dignity.
You are still under the feet and mercy of the white man, still doomed in every universe. Still a lame horse waiting to be put down. Worry about your fate and we’ll worry about ours.
Everyone talks about how we eventually realize the how human and flawed our parents are, but then nothing prepares you for when you start realizing that you are in very many ways just like them.
Its funny how 2 major cases are enough to scare men of marriage but when 1200 cases against women are recorded daily, suddenly they are told “not all men", hypocrisy is loud and clear.
The women supporting Lindsay Clancy by demanding better healthcare for postpartum depression are somehow seen as “bad” and “too emotional”.
The men gathering outside the jail holding Andrew Tate cheering & doing pushups are totally fine & well adjusted.
This is man logic.
