@patriot_savvy You are using the same trope historically used by many racists to paint black women as masculine or a man. Sojourner Truth clocked that narrative a long time ago and yet it still persists. Besides you know the truth…Michelle is a woman and always has been.
@SteveJenks63@actingliketommy@JillianMichaels@WolverineRoar It was also a system. “Separate but equal” did not come about until after Plessy versus Ferguson the Supreme Court case in 1896 (and we know that equality never happened). De facto segregation had been in place way before that idea.
@allgarbled Your first sentence shows you don’t know the difference between “college” and “collage.”Honestly it was not a very compelling entrance essay. It seems like you rushed through and did not express yourself clearly.
@Linda_Schwind@EndWokeness You’re a bit incorrect. Lift Ev’ry Voice and Sing was written in 1900 by James Weldon Johnson as a tribute to a President Lincoln. It was never “renamed” but has been referred to as the Black National Anthem since the early 1900’s Civil Rights movement.
@JackPosobiec No the Bible teaches us to love thy neighbor. Jesus also teaches that helping “one of the least of these my brethren” is the same as helping Him. There wasn’t a hierarchy of who a neighbor was.
@7HMOON@Acyn The “law of bloodline” says that if one or both of your parents is a citizen, then their born children are citizens by blood no matter the location of their birth. Many children have been born overseas to soldiers serving in other countries and are still American citizens.
@KurtVanoordt@MichaelSteele@EveAdam0@USCongress_ That was the 13th that abolished slavery; the 14th defined citizenship to those born or naturalized in the United States and extended equal protection under the law for all citizens
@Jacquelyn5g @serlpfl @MsJuicyGenius Read it again; That scripture is when Moses took roll in the wilderness after the Hebrews’ exodus from Egypt. It wasn’t a proclamation of racial identity. Both my parents are black...I’m also black.
@FifTeaLeven @b1ackfamilyPAC@sjs856 Yes Oscar’s mom is Beryl, the one on the pic with Kamala as a teenager. I’ve only seen the picture of the man who appears to be mixed race listed as Joseph, but I’m not super confident in the sources.
