#OTD in 1926, Fred Gwynne was born. Gwynne served as a radioman 3rd class on a submarine chaser in the Pacific during WWII before attending Harvard and pursuing an acting career. His most notably roles were as Herman Munster on THE MUNSTERS and the judge in MY COUSIN VINNY.

Is the BMW 801 now the same as an R-1839, as the BMW 132 was a licensed copy of the R-1690? What about the Bristol Jupiter's copies that led to new engines?
