Thank you for waiting and looking forward to this day with me.
When I finished working on In Bloom, I felt that I had made an album I had absolutely no regrets about. I was curious about what kind of album I would make next and this next step has turned out to be file.07 heh
In an age where so many things are quickly judged at a glance amid the flood of short-form content like Reels and Shorts, I know it’s a bit of a big ask to hope that someone will listen to my album from track 1 all the way to the last track. (That’s why whenever someone asked me to play them an album I’d somehow feel self-conscious and just pick two or three songs for themㅋ) But if I shamelessly make that greedy request and there are fans who happily respond to it, I think they’re one of the most reassuring and precious things in my life, something I’m incredibly grateful for
Music is an art form and a space of expression with no right answers, so I thought that writing, creating, and singing it myself would be a choice I wouldn’t regret when I look back later. Along the way, there were times when I got swept up in what other people said and felt confused, but while working on file.07, I temporarily shut out all those scattered worries and worked with the mindset of writing down the emotions and language that only I can express best.
So, if there’s even a small space in your hearts, this is an album that makes me greedily want to leave a deep, lasting impression there.
Trends and what's popular... Honestly, I still find them difficult to navigate and I don't particularly feel the urge to chase after them either! I simply want to keep living my life to the fullest, writing and making music for as long as I can, if there's even a chance that my music can reach someone's heart just once or if a lyric of mine can linger in their mind a little longer.
I wrote the Q&A interview sheet for this album just the other day and I've already been going around introducing the songs several times but I still have so much to sayㅋ
Anyway, to sum it all up (?), I want to become a singer that LUVU can be proud of and I hope the album itself will be loved even more than I am.
Tomorrow, I'll be filming a program so I won't be able to check my phone at 6pm ㅠ.ㅠ But LUVUS will all gather together and make the album preview lively and fun, right?! Heh ㅋㅋ I'll trust you guys! ♥
