I am beyond frustrated. This is the 5th time in 12 months a "recruiter" has sent me a take-home coding assessment that was actually a trojan horse.

I’m done just deleting these emails, messages and repos. Instead, I’m weaponizing them.

Today, I’m open-sourcing "The Malware Museum"

I decompiled the actual payloads they sent me, neutralized the threats, and uploaded them to a public monorepo.

I broke down exactly how their supply chain attacks and variable masquerading work so you can study them safely.

Before you start a tech assessment, remember:

- NEVER run npm install first. Their postinstall scripts will own your machine instantly.

- Verify the recruiter. Attackers hijack legitimate LinkedIn profiles.

- Artificial Urgency. If they give you a tight "30-minute deadline," they want you to panic and skip security checks.

- AI Auditing. Command your AI to assume the codebase is highly malicious. Don't let it give the code the benefit of the doubt.

Stop letting desperation for a job cloud your judgment. No legit company will rush you to run unverified code.
