I strongly disagree with Dave on this one. Thought it was so refreshing, and really physical. A committed shift from both ladies who laid all their shit in and worked in a manner that could only be described as urgent and desperate. A match that had some bite to it and felt reactive and a touch dangerous. The anti PC match in terms of sanitization/choreography.
3 months off, immediately has one of the best matches of the year upon return. Nobody like CM Punk. An unreal atmosphere, coupled with a gritty, physical match. Awesome selling from both, the drama and nearfalls were electric, and they really beat the shit out of each other. Wow.
threw on an Eddie/Rey TV singles from the go-home show to Survivor Series '02 and it's some of the most beautiful wrestling I've seen in my life. you think I'm exaggerating but watch Rey's moonsault on this
Lowkey this lends itself to the potential alt universe plan to end up being Cody returning at WM38 & winning the WWE title from Seth his first night
Big E revealed that he was originally scheduled to lose the WWE Championship to Seth Rollins at Day 1 in 2022, then regain it in a rematch at WrestleMania 38 before those plans changed.
