@edstetzer I get flu shot almost every year in my 40 year ministry (my first 2-3 years I did not-then a couple of misses) but I do so knowing it’s limited in effectiveness.
@LoriK2point0 In my seminary we learned to meet no more than 3 times with any member or couple for pastoral care and to refer to a professional ASAP …with the third time being the absolute max. Number.
@edstetzer Ed here’s some thoughts. 1. We know obesity as a problem so why no strong emphasis on losing weight! Crickets on that one from media and scientists. Imagine what a 12 month emphasis on walking, diet, etc could have achieved 2. As many as 70% ow vitamin D . Crickets

@GGBaskerville I like how he and her were open to “ redeeming” the situation And ALSO discerning if it was possible. Also affirming that the marriage bond was broken by HIm! So she was free to say yes or no in much the same way as when he first proposed. Thanks!!!

@allyssinwaiting Humbly say something like: I value you and your friendship. I know things are not right with us right now. And I realize that I can be ....apologize specifically....I want our relationship to be better... then if you must say “ I messages...”

@GGBaskerville Met up with similar issue in my second church. Encouraged her to seek shelter for her sake and two daughters... even had her call woman’s shelter hotline from office...and while she did not act on it right then she did start the journey to leave...might have been 3 months later
