Odisha's educated youth deserve fair opportunities, regular recruitment, and a clear recruitment timeline. Our future cannot remain on hold indefinitely.

We urge the Hon'ble Chief Minister, Higher Education Minister, and Higher Education Department to prioritize regular recruitment and address the concerns of qualified aspirants.

🚨 ODISHA'S YOUTH ARE LOSING HOPE. WHO WILL TAKE RESPONSIBILITY?

The Higher Education Department announced 786 regular Lecturer posts in 2024. Thousands of aspirants applied, prepared with dedication, and waited with hope.

Now, instead of ensuring regular recruitment, the focus appears to be on appointing guest faculty in non-government aided colleges. Temporary appointments should not become a substitute for transparent, merit-based recruitment.

Every year of delay means lost opportunities for qualified youth and continued uncertainty for higher education.

Resolve the pending SSB Lecturer issue. Restore regular recruitment. Let merit and fairness prevail.

Odisha's higher education system is facing a serious crisis.

• The SSB Lecturer recruitment matter has remained pending in the Odisha High Court since 2023.
• No regular recruitment in non-government aided colleges since 2023.
• Recruitment of Assistant Professors in Government Degree Colleges is still incomplete as OPSC has not published the final results.
• Regular recruitment in universities is also delayed.

Instead of filling permanent teaching posts, the Department of Higher Education is planning to engage retired guest faculty. If this continues, our colleges will depend mainly on temporary and retired teachers.

How long will this culture continue? Students deserve quality education, and qualified youth deserve regular employment. Higher education cannot be kept on hold forever.

We urge the Government to take immediate steps to resolve the pending recruitment issues and restore confidence in Odisha's higher education system.
