Defence Minister Hon Kiryowa Kiwanuka meets the Duke of Sussex Prince Harry
The Minister of Defence and Veteran Affairs Hon Kiryowa Kiryowa together with Hon Peter Ogwang, the Minister of State for Sports and their delegation yesterday met Prince Harry at the Royal Hospital Chelsea in London. The Duke of Sussex once again congratulated Uganda for joining the Invictus Games community of nations and said he looks forward to exchanging experiences with Uganda in championing the cause of wounded, injured and sick soldiers, in addition to competing in future games.
Earlier in the day, Hon Kiryowa Kiwanuka also attended the unveiling of the Spirit of Invictus Train, a specially branded train that will carry the name and spirit of the Invictus Community across the UK rail network. The train is now in regular service and will be travelling around the UK spreading the Invictus Spirit ahead of the Invictus Games Birmingham 2027.
