John Wetton missing. Influential during King Crimson, UK, Roxy Music, wishbone Ash, Uriah Heep days. Bass was understated during Asia age, but still present when called for.
Did you know an incredible 15 different #Reds made the NL All-Star team in the 1970's?
8 position players: Pete Rose, Joe Morgan, Johnny Bench, Tony Perez, Ken Griffey Sr., Dave Concepcion, George Foster, Lee May.
7 pitchers: Jack Billingham, Gary Nolan, Clay Carroll, Wayne Simpson, Jim Merritt, Tom Seaver, Mike LaCoss.
PS...I would have lost a bet that Don Gullett was never an All-Star.
Reds players made a total of 52 All-Star appearances in the 1970's.
They had at least four All-Stars for 13 consecutive years, 1968-1980. That includes seven players in 1976 and 1977. Six in 1978.
MLB didn’t allow the Reds’ acquisition of Vida Blue in 1978 to join Tom Seaver in the rotation
The story of the Big Red Machine would not have been just an offensive juggernaut and the “dynasty” would’ve lasted longer with different flavor
All four of these are worthy as is Joey Votto
I would think I would replace Larkin with Frank Robinson, but what a lineup this would be:
Pete Rose LF
Joe Morgan 2b
Joey Votto 1b
Frank Robinson rf
Johnny Bench C
Tony Perez DH
Vada Pinson cf
Edd Roush LF
Barry Larkin SS
Bucky Walters P
Bench:
George Foster
Ted Kluszewski
Heine Groh
Dave Concepcion
Eric Davis
Bid McPhee
Ernie Lombardi
Jose Rijo
Tony Mullane
Noodles Hahn
Eppa Rixey
Jim Maloney
Danny Graves
John Franco
Mario Soto
Gary Nolan
Frank Dwyer
Paul Derringer
Dolf Luque

“I listen to John Wetton constantly. His sound completely conveys what I want to do sonically." Why the former King Crimson and @originalasia frontman is @pallbearerdoom bassist Joseph D Rowland's prog hero... https://t.co/d1mgWlYFLp
The Founding Fathers wanted a Government run by the people. You were to leave the private sector, serve in Congress and then return to being a citizen. Staying in the House or Senate for 50 years is not how it's supposed to work. This needs to be fixed!
