A student once described their ADHD writing style like this:

“My thoughts don’t arrive one at a time. They arrive like a group chat where everyone is typing at once, and I have to decide which message to respond to before the rest disappear.”

So while writing an essay, the main argument isn’t the only thing happening. There’s the main point, then five related ideas trying to jump in, plus three examples, two counterarguments, and a sudden unrelated insight that still somehow feels important. Nothing feels “off-topic” in the moment- just competing levels of relevance.

Parentheses become a kind of safety mechanism. Not for decoration, but for survival. A way to say: this matters too, just not right now. Dashes, brackets, and asides aren’t stylistic choices so much as cognitive overflow valves.

What looks like disorganized writing is often just real-time thought management- trying to force a multi-threaded mind into a single-threaded format without losing anything that feels meaningful.

I would do all within my power to prevent a pregnancy in the first place when in a committed relationship. Abortion has HUGE risks for women and is not a fun little in and out.
