My unpopular opinion is that coddling soldiers who willingly enforce a genocidal project is not exactly the revolutionary take you think it is. Maybe instead of bending over backwards to empathize with the perpetrators, we could actually focus on the millions of oppressed people they terrorize daily. It’s incredible how easily some people extend compassion to occupiers while the occupied are left to die, but hey, let’s build a “coalition” with the people holding the guns—because that’s clearly worked wonders for justice before.

Early this evening, Israel killed, or more accurately assassinated, my sister Dr. Soma Baroud, by bombing her taxi in the Khan Yunis area, killing her and six other innocent people.

She was the kindest soul, a great mother and a most loving sister.

She was a member of a generation of female doctors that revolutionized medicine in the Strip.

She healed many people, never charged the poor and until the last day of her life remained principled, loving, kind and patient, even when Israel blew up her house a few weeks ago.

I don’t know what else to say, aside from the fact that I suddenly feel as if a child who became orphaned all over again.

She was a leader of our family, and fulfilled the role of our mother who died at a young age.

I am sorry, sister, that I could do nothing to protect you.
I feel deep shame that I live in the very country that paid for and made the bombs that killed you.

When the numbness is gone, I will try to stay strong only driven by the hope that we will meet again in Paradise.

Israeli occupation forces have asked all residents of northern Gaza (300k+) to evacuate as a means of ethnically cleansing North Gaza . However, they then besieged Jabalia refugee camp, and when people tried to leave, they were shot at by snipers. Many residents are on the streets, bleeding, as Israeli forces have destroyed ambulances and are targeting anyone who tries to help. The situation in the north is horrific and very dangerous; there are currently hundreds of thousands trapped, and the shelling is nonstop.

The Israeli army committed tonight a new massacre against the civilian Palestinians who shelter in tents in Khan younes Mawasi area which was declared by the Israeli army as a safe humanitarian area.
100civilians including many children and women were killed or injured in the attack . 20 tents were shattered by the explosives. Some people were buried in the sand in 9 meters deep halls due to explosions caused by 5 huge Israeli rockets.
Civil defense and medical teams denied categorically Israeli claims about the presence of any fighters in the targeted area which the Israeli army forced civilians to shelter in claiming it was a safe humanitarian zone.
