> cleared R1 for ISB YLP (deferred MBA)
> had all my SOPs ready for MBA/MIM outside India
> was scoring 750-760 in GMAT mocks
> had a joining offer from consulting firms
left it all because i couldnt imagine myself working my ass off 9-5 for all my life. raising ipad kids. having to ask permission from boss to take someone to hospital or kids to PTM.
saw people with prestigious degrees also just working paychecks to paychecks.
nothing made sense. so i did what any retard would do. start from scratch again. no connections. no friends. no hand to hold. all alone in a new city by myself.
i dont regret anything in past 6 months. no matter how bumpy the ride has been. still believe, my life would have been easier, otherwise but my soul would have died.
ugc in india doesn't work as
most startups optimise for m+ views
if you get m+ views in a single video in india
the audience is mostly tier 3 & 4 loving your video
this means poor conversion
which demotivates startup a lot
aim for 40k good views

@primal_brainer “maximising shareholder value" is the strongest driving force of life lol
on a serious note, can't help but notice the solid work you're putting into UGC, sharp notes & learning from you yesterday eve, drishti 🙌
hosted 60+ cracked UGC growth marketers & founders for US marketers club's 1st IRL mixer in BLR last night! ✨
if you missed it, here's what it felt like:
- 15+ clusters of 3-4 sharp folks deep in an interesting conversation at any moment across the 3 hrs, dropping free alpha & resources at every corner of the space
- everyone both relatable & inspiring at once
- a 30-min Q&A that went hard on the toughest UGC problems: benchmark CPMs, scaling to 200+ creators, AI UGC conversion. felt like a "mafia of cracked marketers"
- old friends reuniting, strangers becoming friends, online mutuals finally meeting IRL.
- a beautiful space from our sponsor @velo, stocked w/ seltzers, kombucha (by @localfermentco) & coffee (by @letsdrickle)
the collective energy was pure spirit. left feeling hella pumped from being in that room 🔥
this is exactly the community @thatcasualvc, @teerkus & i set out to build with US marketers club. (apply here: https://t.co/03zbWSuHhk)
