A thread, quick version of my story, in honour of Crohn's and Colitis awareness month. I was first diagnosed in 1993 when I was 19 years old. It was a long, arduous process. Gastroenterology has come a long way, but at the time, I was all "what the hell is Crohn's?"

@realDaveFeldman Obviously the crowd following you is gonna have our slant ... Saturated fat, LDL, sunshine, all beneficial. Need my dietary fat and protein to keep LDL up, Triglycerides down, use the LDL to combine with sun exposure for Vitamin D, vitamin D for a huge list of benefits.

Weird b/c most sunscreen has carcinogens, same as always. Even the ones that don't ... the stuff blocks the UVB rays that synthesize Vitamin D production. And newsflash: we NEED vitamin D to prevent things like, um, cancer. (Also ... you need cholesterol as part of that process)

@JoeTalksBack They just explain it away as ... "we didn't know ... we were told ... we were led to believe ... science evolved" .... and then it wraps with "maybe, but you're obv still much better off with the needle". Such, BS.

@northernck @CPC_HQ I don't think it counts as simply "living in one's head rent free" when that person is running their country. JT is of great relevance in the lives of all Canadians, good or bad.

@Mark_Sisson Yea, sorry @sirkensingtons ... using buzz words like "organic, certified humane, free range" before egg yolks, doesn't excuse the fact that this is made mostly with rancid oil and also has sugar.

@bengreenfield Maybe there are systemic issues in what humans are exposed to. Maybe Americans have terrible parenting habits, generally. But they are where they are. Other countries have video games and Hollywood movies, but not mass-shootings. It's so obvious. Remove assault weapons.
