It is also a time to have important conversations about the truth of our province’s history so we can work together to build a shared sense of what reconciliation means for all Nova Scotians. We are ALL treaty people.
EECD is committed to providing an inclusive education for all. On September 30, a number of events in schools across our province will take place to recognize Orange Shirt Day to honour the survivors of residential schools, as well as those who did not return home.
On Wednesday, September 30th please honour the victims and survivors of residential schools by wearing an orange shirt.

@nseducation@CochraneGr3 Seriously we find this out in a tweet??? We have been in school for 2 weeks and read stories from across the room as 4 and 5 year olds are at a desk. (Not effective at all) Now we read in a tweet we can actually have them on the floor with us like it should be? @withwozney
@CochraneGr3 Hi, students in pre-primary to grade 3 are not required to wear masks in schools. Sitting in a circle for a story or a lesson is fine as long as they are within their cohort. However where possible, they should be spaced out.
